OP_NET Defender
OP_NET Defender is a Gas Abstraction (Paymaster) protocol that removes the biggest onboarding friction point in Web3: the need to hold native Bitcoin for gas fees.
Our dApp allows users to interact with Bitcoin L1 smart contracts—such as claiming tokens—by simply signing a free, off-chain cryptographic message. A custom Next.js backend Relayer intercepts this message, wraps it into a real Bitcoin transaction, and pays the network BTC gas fee out of its own pocket. The OP_NET smart contract then reimburses the Relayer directly from the user's claimed tokens.
Why it matters: It enables a seamless, $0-gas user experience, proving that complex DeFi mechanics and frictionless onboarding are fully possible on Bitcoin L1.
